Abstract: The ‘Kāvyādarśa’ of Daṇḍīn (7thcentury AD) a one of the outstanding books on Indian poetic through after Daṇḍīn. This work was not so much recognized by the latter poeticians as he deserved. During the 7th century onwards Tibet developed a very good connection with India. Lots of books on Buddhism was taken to Tibet and was translated in Tibetan language. It is found that many Non-Buddhist texts also went to Tibet, was translated and commentaries was also composed them. ‘Kāvyādarśa’ was one of such texts. The paper deals with the value of ‘Kāvyādarśa’ in field of Tibetan poetics through centuries.
